Is this a cosmetic issue or a 6.2 engine issue? Anyway, the red on the “Camaro” on the engine cover has mostly flaked off (24 with 4k miles!). What have you guys redone it with? I would do vinyl stickers if I thought it would match.

Yeah mine flaked off too. I put some vinyl decals on mine and it looks great.

The paint on the stock engine cover can't resist heat for too long, it peels off eventually on every LT1. High heat paint or vinyl stickers will both work.

They sent three sets, so I guess if you messed up on one you're good. They were very easy to install and have held up just fine. Just make sure you clean the rail covers really well.

I received replacement covers under warranty due the red flaking. I asked if I could install the replacements myself and the dealership agreed. I stored the new parts.

I never liked the red anyway, so I sanded the remaining red off my old covers which left a gray finish. I like it.

I got a used 2019 ss and was missing the drivers side cover. Bought a used original gm part on ebay and overpaid for it (over $100) and came from Lithuania. Anyways, paint was faded on both covers so used Red Hot chip repair paint and the clear sealant to paint the letters and they look great now.
