Low oil pressure from stupid mistake

Just looking for some opinions. So last year I did a heads/cam job on my SS and in the process of doing all the supporting mods. I removed the solenoids from the bottom of the VLOM (Valley plate) and then proceeded to grind off the studs to make it flush (Like the aftermarket ones sold) WITHOUT REALIZING, that I just opened the oil passage that runs from where the oil pressure sensor is to the solenoids, I ran the car like this for maybe 10-15 min at idle and drove for maybe 3 minutes under 2k rpm before the PCV sucked up oil and I noticed smoke and towed it home. The oil pressure data logged was around 20 psi at idle but now thinking about it, I'm concerned that the sensor was reading inaccurate since it was literally spewing out oil into the valley from a strait up hole. Anyways, do you guys think I starved the engine of oil? Or was the difference in circumference of the lines enough to keep the psi up at the 20 it said it was at. Its been about 3k miles since then and the car is running great with normal OP. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

If it’s been 3K miles since then and all is well, you’re probably ok.

Agree with others. You had enough pressure to keep things lubed.

I ground the solenoids off with the plate removed and on the bench And meticulously cleaned it before reinstalling.

These are the photos showing the hole the oil was spewing out of and the mistake that was made.

get on old socket that is pretty close to the size of the hole that senor screws into (picture on the right) make sure the socket is almost able to fit in it but just slightly too big. probably like a 7\16 1\4in socket, get a cutoff wheel and cut a line through one side. now the socket will be able to be pressed into that hole. put the uncut side to cover the oil port that the oil is bleeding out of.

I wish I Knew about that in the moment. I wound up just buying a new one. I made the post more so in regards of being concerned about the low oil pressure for the duration that I ran it with that oil port completely open.
