anyone try factorymanuals.net?

I was doing a casual search for a service manual for my 24 1SS, and I came across this:

https://factorymanuals.net/products/...-repair-manual

Has anyone ever tried ordering one of their manuals? It sounds a bit too good to be true, but I did find some reviews on other auto forums that make it sound worth the cost.

Thanks,
Rusty

I doubt it’s the complete factory service manual. It’s like three volumes of a thousand pages each. You ain’t gettin that for 70 buck.

They claim you get only the info that applies to your specific VIN, so it could certainly skip a lot of the factory info. Other reviews have said that it's definitely factory material, though no one has tried to compare the full manual contents to what's on the pdf you get.

I decided to take one for the team :-) We'll see what I end up getting.

I ordered the 24 Camaro manual. It's over 16,000 pages and it does appear to be GM publications. I ended up ordering the manual for my 2014 Silverado and my wife's Honda CR-V. The Silverado is 24,000 pages, but the Honda is much shorter at around 8,000. It was also cheaper.

When you place the order, you get an email asking for the VIN since in theory they tailor the manual to your exact car. That's how it worked for the Camaro, but maybe because I ordered it last night, and got the download link this morning. For the other two, I got the email requesting the VIN, but then almost immediately got download links for both before I could reply to the VIN request.

For the price (10% off coupon will appear also) it seems well worth it. I do hope it's all legit. Some comments mentioned not being able to open the pdf, but I had no issues. You do have to turn on the bookmarks to jump to various sections.

When I type in my year, there are 2 different options and that does not include the ZL1 or Z28 options.

Not a huge deal, but there is a $4.99 additional lifetime access fee, too.

There manuals are messed up. I downloaded one and the text is not embedded into the PDF. So now I get weird text. Plus they have a weird text wrap going on.

They wont respond to emails, so I'll try calling them and let you know whats going on.

I used these guys when I forged my engine. Mostly for torque specs but there's a ton of info. It's subscription based, but when you're spending $5-8k on go-fast goodies, it's not even a question.

Fortunately I don't have any display issue with the text. I would annoy me if they didn't reply to my emails, and I haven't had to test that so far. Hopefully you can get this working.
