Smoked tail light differences?
Running light on driver side tail light went out recently. Ordered a new smoked tail light for my 21 SS. Local body shop ordered last week and installed today, get home and notice the new driver side is a different orange color than the passenger. The new tail light is a more plain orange where as the passenger is more red orange. Is there a different smoked tail light between SS and LT models? If so, seems the body shop ordered the non SS smoked light

Definitely what I was thinking, so didn’t specify to the body shop the trim level.
But I can see differences in the glow. More obvious in person. Maybe they didn’t hook something up properly then? Really don’t know. |

Hard to tell but maybe slightly brighter on left. I’d confirm part numbers and connections, do you have any electrical add-ons? (LED side markers, LED reverse bulbs, LED license plate lights, really anything LED that wasn’t before)

Everything stock. Took a look this morning and the difference is subtle but noticeable. Look identical when the lights are off so I think the lights are correct. Gonna call the shop today and see if they have answers, ask about part numbers. Preciate the response

I'm more sensitive to this than average, and the difference in hue is fairly large. These definitely aren't the same color, I'd probably push the body shop for another replacement until they find two identical taillights.

Did they do a good job and not mess up anything else in the process? If you answered yes to these questions continue below.
You can barley tell, the job is done and the car is ok. Consider it done.
