Borla Cat Back/ Tunnel Brace

I am going to be getting the Borla S Type cat back system for my 2023 SS Camaro but I cant seem to find out if I will need to get a HALO tunnel brace to replace the stock one. When I was looking at getting the speed engineering cat delete kit it mentioned that you need to replace the tunnel brace with one like the HALO.

Can anyone confirm if I need to do this or not for the Borla cat back? I'm pretty sure the Borla gets rid of the pinched off section of exhaust and I am not sure if It interferes with the stock brace or not.

Thanks for the feedback.

I used all the stock brackets as well on my ZL1 when I had a Borla setup. To confirm, go to Borla's website and you should be able to download a pdf of the installation instructions for the system. This should confirm if any modifications would be required.

I have a Borla atak and use a BMR brace, some exhaust require shimming of the stock brace usually just with washers to make sure it does not rub and make noise....

Borla mid pipes are 2.75" I believe. Stock bracket should work as stated. 3" mid pipes require shimming or aftermarket brackets

I have a Stainless Works 3 inch exhaust and I had to use an aftermarket brace and shims as it would occasionally hit the brace going over railroad tracks.
