Can't fine GM factory wheel locks?
Well I had my GM dealer add the GM wheel locks for a 2017 Camaro convertible and a year later I can't find the wheel lock tool? I don't want to purchase a whole new GM wheel lock, and was thinking that a closer GM dealer may have 1 that they could use, anyone knows more about this?
Appreate any info. Thanks Christopher |

I am not sure if there is a "universal" tool that will take them off. I was always under the impression if they had to remove the lock they would end up destroying it.

Did they give you the packaging and paperwork for the wheel locks? That will have a serial code to order the correct key.

The wheel locks are sort of vin specific.... theres a couple different variations out there, unless of course someone swapped yours out for another set.
You can get them off with a extractor, but it will ruin the lug but. Which will give you a reason to buy 4 new regular lug nuts and never have to worry about locking lug nuts again

Thanks everybody, it is a GM wheel lug and yes they gave me the key and 4 of the stock nuts but I can't find them and looked and looked.
Since I know it's a GM and think I found them online and the pictures look the came but if what 1 person is saying that the serial # is the key, I was thinking since it's a GM wheel lock that most GM dealers would have the key to remove and I would buy 4 more stock lug nuts? Any can confirm that? Thanks for the help! Christopher |

I have some NIB you can have for free if you end up needing a full set.

WOW Torquem, THANK YOU VERY MUCH! I will be calling my local GM dealership and ask service if they can remove the wheel locks and let you know this week!
Thanks again Christopher |

There is another method which involves hammering a standard impact socket onto the nut. If tight enough, it works like an extractor. |

Happened to me over the summer, I went to my dealer and they tried a few different of their locks and that's how I was able to get the wheel lock key # to order a replacement.

Check with all the tire dealers in your area (not just the dealer). I just had new tires put on the wife's Suby and luckily looked for the lock key I gave'em to do it. They forgot to return it and when I saw them look, I could see they had a whole collection of "forgotten" keys. You may get lucky!
