Changing 2020 Factory Radio to Something New
Hey yall! Has anyone change out their factory radio (2020 and up). Having issues with the connections between my phone and Android Auto.. Took it to the dealership while under warranty
waste of time. Just want to change out the whole thing.Thanks n advance! |

The actual radio is a module behind the dash between the glove box and passenger door area, and the connection stuff may take place in the HCI (human control interface, as I recall?). under the dash above the passenger footwell. This isn't like the old days where you just swapped out head units. The thing you see in the dash is just a display.

If you're having intermittent disconnections while driving, you may want to double-check that the fuses for the USB are fully seated.
I believe there is a thread or two about how loose fuses caused issues with phone connections to the infotainment system. |
