NPP exhaust retrofit

We have a guy here in Kyiv with the same basic AF 1LT, the only difference is that he has the performance exhaust option. He has the same 7" basic head unit, but there are additional exhaust related options in there. I downloaded his car's tune with my MPVI3 and the NPP options are located in FSCM, as in v8.

What would it take additionally to retrofit an NPP exhaust in regular 1LT except for the FSCM and the valved exhaust itself? How exactly is the FSCM connected to ECM and valves? I'd appreciate any info

Thank you

Typically better off with aftermarket

I very much agree. I was going down the hwy a few weeks ago and ran across a gen6 v6 that had npp. We got on it a few times. Npp was tame compared to my exhaust.Mine is cheaper and lighter. I have $180 in the x pipe and $400 in the mbpr axel back.

I meant aftermarket in terms of valve control instead of using the NPP actuators but I do agree that if someone goes through this effort it would be a waste doing it all for the OEM NPP. I’d personally want an aftermarket exhaust to go with the NPP.

I say this wanting a Borla S Type with NPP

Got it. But I would not want npp on the v6 after having my after market set up.

Thanks, everyone. I will be trying retrofiting the whole NPP functionality mainly because I want to have it controlled off the head unit and automagically switch to open valves when I go into Sport mode
