roto fab CAI protection

i have an aftermarket carbon fiber hood and there is a vent right above my hood. i am worried about water going straight into the cold air intake. i cant find any water repellent cold air intake cover big enough for the roto fab. any thoughts? ill upload picture.

Lol same hood, same problem here. Doesnt seem to be a “off the shelf” fix. Will probably have to have some fabricated. Rotofab has the airbox covers for certain models, but not ours unfortunately.

If the Rotofab seal is touching the hood as it made it shouldn't leak.

It seems he installed a hood that has an additional vent right above the intake, so the RF seal may not help at all.

I just saw that, missed it on my first view. Need to make a water trap like the center vent on my hood came with to get the water to run away from the Rotofab or build a cover or buy another CAI with a lid

id like to hear some of your ideas on fabricating something i dont know if i want to drill into the hood so im thinking something off the box maybe.

This company makes filter covers that are dirt proof and hydrophobic to a certain extent. Probably better than nothing. They run these on offroad race trucks all the time. Other than that, you would have to build a custom rain tray to divert the water away from the vents.

I had something like this, https://outerwears.com/, on my old SVT Focus cold air intake filter as the filter pretty much sat down in front of my front wheel, lol.

found a company that custom makes water resistant filters. just put in a order to fit with the roto fab. i ordered a tampered oval base is 7.5"w by 7.5"w top is 3.75"w and 5.75"L and the height is 9" ordered it on www.outerwears.com
