PS4S is what you want.
PSS are older as mentioned. PS4S may just be the best all around tire. Good traction in dry weather of various temps. Dispels water well. I use PS4S as my wet track tire.

Pilot Super Sports are the older version, but offer better dry grip than the new PS4S which offers better wet grip. If you drive only in the dry or when nice out, i'd get the Pilot Super Sports.

Consider buying from local shop and shop around as well. Last year I replaced the F1s with PS4S from Just Tires and their price was around $20/tire better than tire rack. (don't remember which flavor of tire rack. seems to be about a dozen)

My experience on an SS 1LE....
My buddy had the 4S' on his SS 1LE. I drove that car with the OE Goodyear 3s and then with the 4S' in OE sizes. I'll use the OE Goodyear 3 as a basis point. The OE 3 is a outstanding dry grip when warm to hot, nice feel, excellent response tire. Works fantastic on the road course. Stiff sidewall. Wet traction is good when new, degrades quick with wear. I had 1500 miles on my factory 3s when I took a long road trip where we encountered lots of heavy rain. I never felt the 3s give up once. The 3 doesn't have much tread when new and the cold weather grip is sketch. Drive the 3 in cool and wet conditions? Don't drive like a freaking moron and you won't die. I really didn't care about wet performance because my SS 1LE (normally) only is driven in the dry summer, and spring and fall when temps and the roads are in great shape. An excellent track day tire. The 4S, frankly, sucked when we compare to the 3's sidewall stiffness, response, race track grip. I drove his car and hated the 4S. I am a "feel" guy. I desire a certain feel from the steering, from the brakes. Slow response. Soft sidewall took the SS 1LE's character down a few notches. Why have an SS 1LE or ZL1 and then neuter it???? Yeah, sure, the 4S' wet performance is outstanding as is the wear and cold temp performance. But not for me. So I wanted a better all around tire for long road trips. Wet weather performance is important but give me feel and excellent dry grip foremost. Feedback and reviews of the PSS was that it was stiffer than the 4S. Michelin quality plays a part so I asked around on the PSS and decided to take a chance on them I did the "Star" spec BMW front 285/30-20 and the Ferrari "K3" spec for the 305/30-20 rear. Both are not run flats. I could not be anymore happy on my choice. The PSS is nothing like the 4S. Stiffer sidewall vs the 4S equals Goodyear 3 like response. On center feel is a touch better than the 3 and way better than the 4S. Feel when the car is loaded up and the precision is also a touch better than the 3. And way better than the 4S. Braking performance did not suffer. I run Ferodo DS 1.11 pads which are more aggressive than the typical OE HP1000 pads on most Camaros. I have no issues with ABS. The first test for them and probably a great street tire test anyway was a 1700 mile trip to the Tail of the Dragon and other fun roads in the Smoky Mtns of TN and NC earlier this month. I ran hard on the Tail. Eventually turned everything off. Track Mode with no PTM. Steering precision, when running the Foothills Parkway for example, was fantastic. I cannot speak on dead stop acceleration grip because I don't use my car that way. It's all about the cornering and braking for me. That said, I did not find the PSS to have any kind of massive grip issues coming out of the tight Tail of the Dragon corners. I did work my way up thru the modes and PTM modes prior to going no PTM in Track Mode. My PDR did show some rear tire loss of grip and I could occasionally hear the PTM pulling power, but anyone who tracks their Camaro and has PDR knows that any indication of traction control (PTM) will vary based on which PTM mode you are in. Even in Track mode/Race PTM there can be some forward traction loss but it is nothing that warrants worry. And the PSS looked really good on my 1LE also. The 4S is overhyped when we compare it to the PSS. They sacrificed feel and response in the 4S vs the PSS. The PSS will satisfy my needs for the street and I have no desire to keep putting the Goodyear 3 on my OE wheels. I run 19" wheels for the track so I do not have a large list of compromises. If you care about steering feel, precision, and response....... PSS all the way.

The Pilot Super Sport tires I had on SLP ZL series wheels were an excellent addition to the 2010 5th gen 2SS I used to own and may have a set put on my ZL1 when the GY F1s need replacing.

I concur! PSS sounds like a good choice for my next purchase because I want the sidewall feel/stiffness of my Goodyears without waiting as long for them to warm up (don’t live in a hot climate in the first place ) and a little better for wet weather. Worth a try.

I was doing some reading on this yesterday. Take a look at the new Continental's Extremecontact Sport2's. Performance wise (dry and wet), right there with the Michelins PS4, but a few less dollars.

Also would suggest looking at the Advan V601's. Been running them for 2 years and they are a fantastic summer tire.

You should also consider the new Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02
