A10 ZL1 Launch Control

Hey guys,

Newbie here with a 4 day old '17 A10 ZL1.

I was wondering if someone could help me out. On the DIC, when I switch to settings mode, the first page that appears says "Launch Control Disabled".

First of all, I thought A10s or rather just the automatics simply do not get Launch Control and if they do, how do I "Enable" it? I don't intend to use it any time soon but just knowing I have a page that says Launch Control Disabled is eating me alive!!

I really hope one of you is able to shine some light upon my issues.

Look forward to your support.

Best regards.

Here's a video I did that shows how to get launch control enabled so you can get to line lock and launch control.

Thank you very much mlee. I will try it out and let you know. Funny thing is I did something very similar before making this post, however I was in motion while trying it out (stupid me!!) and maybe thats why it didn't work.

I went into track mode, then into sport 2 in traction management and then down to the settings page, however the launch control page instead of showing "surface general" in your video, in my case it just said "disabled". Again, perhaps probably because the car was on the move.

Will check it out and let you know. Once again, thanks very much bro!!

Pretty much except with all the tire spin you're not going anywhere fast LOL.

Awesome... glad it worked out.

I figured a video would be much easier than trying to explain multiple times.

I still need to do that one and will get it done next week (I hope).

It's not real straight forward.

Once you get into launch control mode it has a default RPM setting but you can change. You point your wheels straight, press the brake as hard as you can (as in panic mode) and hold it. You then press the gas all the way to the floor. If the car starts to creep, let off the gas and press the brake harder. and Repress gas to the floor. If the RPM was set a 1400, it will go past that a little bit and then back down and just hold there. At this point the gas is to the floor and the brake is pressed hard. When you want to go, let off the brake and you will have a good launch. I got it work best at 1400 to 1800 rpms. At 2400, the max, I had issues on the surface I was one

I'd like to hear more on how launch control is dangerous on the street.

Sounds to me like you're saying we should all be driving a Prius.

There are people will far less powerful and far less capable cars that drive much worse than those with high performance vehicles you know?
