GM LS7 is dead for the after market

GM is pulling LS7 or until sold out, I'm sure LS3, LS2 will follow. Then LT4's , these are crate motors.

We’ll have to explain what a V8 was to the next generation.

True. Can't wait until all this "electrification" BS and "green" whatever crap blows up in peoples faces (it already is in a lot of places).

It's why I've decided to hold onto my 2011 Corvette GS and my 2017 Camaro SS.

I would expect LT4 to run for a while. As long as it’s in production +5 years.

You think there is road rage now. Wait until there are fights over charging stations! Especially when the utility companies limit charging during peak hours.

I saw a news story a few weeks ago where CA officials were asking residents to stay off the roads and not charge their EVs because the electric grid was under strain. That issue is only going to get a lot worse as they continue to push the EV narrative.

Does Mercury Racing still have their version in production?

Keep seeing the same commercial, power down between 4-9pm because there's isn't enough green energy available and we need to "flex". What happens when all they have is green energy like they want and everyone has to charge their cars? It will be power down between 1pm-11am

Just because you're against something doesn't exactly mean you have to make up stuff. Were people fighting during gas shortages? I remember after Hurricane Sandy there were very few stations open and each one had a 2 hour wait. Nobody was fighting. If that was a potential issue then there will be cops or state troopers on standby. And not for nothing, wishing disaster on the public just means you're wishing it on yourself too.

We're all in the same boat. The writing has been on the wall for a long time. This is the direction that we are moving in. So why would you want it to fail? And FTR, nothing happens overnight. The grids and infrastucture will increase and adapt as more and more people go in this direction. There will be increased capacity.

And also, yea you might have to tell kids about V8s one day. But how much technology was lost as generations continue to evolve? Nobody will care about V8s. Cars will be soo far advanced that it'll be like telling kids that AOL dial up and buffering was an awesome thing. Or like telling kids that banks closing at 1pm on Saturday was soo cool. Or like telling them that bias ply tires and having a manual choke switch in a car or having those hubs on 4x4 trucks that you had to get out the truck and manually turn to engage 4WD was just the best ever. Nobody will care. Their cars and tech will be soo far and away better than outs that it'll be look someone trying to convince you that a 200R4 is a way better trans than our current A10s are, lol!!

Get with the times. If anything, time has proven that cars get faster, perform better, and have way more tech as time continues to pass. Nobody will even be thinking about LT4s in 10 years from now.

^^This!!! I don't understand why the car manufacturers are transitioning to this so quickly. The infrastructure alone in the US isn't good enough to support this now or in the next decade! I supposed hybrids will still be around but so what if the US changed everything to electric, there are still other countries who don't give a ****.

Umm what^^ here in Cali the sun shines 90% of the year every year, and we aren't even close to being able to sustain everyone on an electric vehicle. We can't even run our AC without them turning it off in the hottest days of the summer and you think California is ready for an all electric vehicle transition? Drink some coffee man, your response sounds like a grumpy old 80 year old dude that pulled a muscle getting out of bed.
