P1516 code. Fix?

While participating yesterday in a 1/2 mile run the car dropped into reduced power mode and this code came up.
Have any of you had this or know the cause and the fix? Thanks.

https://www.way.com/blog/p1516-meani...g%20for%20long.

What does the P1516 code mean?
OBDII Code P1516- Throttle Actuator Control Module / Throttle Actuator Position Performance

The control of the Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) system is with the ECM. Both these components send data in the form of voltages. The role of the ECM is to determine the intent of the driver and calculate the estimated throttle response. This calculation needs the help of the throttle body, which sends a modulated pulse width voltage.

The EDM has two processors to monitor the TAC data. If the throttle position is not the same as the expected throttle position within more than 0.5 s, the P1516 engine code will be displayed.

Also, here are the different meanings of P1516 for other manufacturers:

Park/Neutral Position Switch Gear Change Neutral/Drive (Jaguar)
Intake Manifold Changeover Valve (VW/Audi)
Intake Manifold Runner Control Input Error Bank 1(Lincoln/Mercury/Ford)
Oil Temp Sensor Low (Hyundai)
Which symptoms can occur for this code?
Some of the common symptoms of this code include:

the ‘Check Engine Light’ turns on.
no throttle response
vehicle fails accelerate
bad fuel economy
a fixed speed is maintained during idling
vehicle bucking and surging at times
What are the causes of OBD code P1516?
Many factors could lead to this code, including:

A faulty TAC module
A faulty pedal position sensor
Water intrusion in TAC module connector
Damaged wiring in the TAC circuit
Bent or damaged throttle body
TAC module harness is open or shorted

If you have an aftermarket TB w/o proper tuning this could pop.

Same engine you had trouble with earlier in the year, or something new and different?

Same tuner as the last failure ?

Yeah, it's the new improved engine with new cam, pump, ported sc, new ported tb from Soler with big gulp. Different shop and tuner than I've used before.

Ran it at the road course a month ago for 3 sessions and it seemed to work flawlessly, though not quite as strong as I expected.

Best 1/2 mile previously was 166mph. On this last Saturday with the shorter road race tires on for fun I managed 164. Swapped out to the taller tires and first time out I mistakenly forgot I'd turned off all nannies to do a burnout and about 100 yards down the track it launched me off the track for a short run in the dirt. Got right back after it and could only manage 162mph.

My son tried it and did a hellacious burnout and the car then went into reduced power and checked the aeroforce gauge and pulled the p1516 code. ????

Ditch the Soler in my opinion. I've heard too many bad stories with those things.
