A10 SS heads/cam dyno

Haven't seen much dyno info on the SS A10 out there, but I just got the final numbers in a little while ago. Pulls were done in 7th gear with SAE 5 correction factor. Goal was to get 550whp and I was adamant on staying on the stock stall.

Mod List:

TSP PRC aftermarket casting heads
CSP Big Boy cam
MSD intake manifold
Roto-Fab CAI
CSP 2" long tubes w/ high flow cats
E85 sensor

Final E85 numbers: 544hp / 482tq. I could've ponied up the money for a throttle body and hit 550whp but $500 for an extra 5hp isn't worth it to me, I'll never feel that difference.

I forgot to ask what the baseline was but I will when I grab the car. Assuming 400hp +/- 5hp.

On the valve seats I have no idea lol, all I know is it's not the stock ones because I went with these to avoid the potential valve seat failure people were seeing on the cammed LT1's.

Yep it's the same one, they use this cam in boosted and stock converter LT's. Don't want to give out a shop's specs, but it's similar to the CamMotion Titan Gen 3 with a wider LSA and .635/.635 lift.

https://cammotion.com/gen-5-lt-camsh...226-238-113-3/

Pull ends at about 6.8k. Used PAC .660 dual springs & titanium retainers, GM racing lifters, titanium intake valves, and conical exhaust valves. I won't even pretend to know what kpa is.

10-4 i appreciate the info. are the cyl heads milled any? what limiter are you using on the vvt? just trying to gather info as there is not a lot about na setups with regard to cam, vvt and cyl head relation.

edit: get some time slips on that mug.

Not milled just running stock compression and using a 0 degree cam phaser.

I'm hoping I'll to get to the last test and tune of the season this weekend. Baseline full weight, shitty Falken tires, 2200 DA, 89% humidity was 12.7. I'd like to see 10s with this cooler weather and on radials.

with that kind of power thru an a10 and some drag radials id definitely be expecting mid-low 10s @ 130+.

I wonder how much the LT4 intake valves are helping the valvetrain? and what is the conical exhaust valves? I've never heard of this?

I must've been exhausted when I posted this but I meant inconel exhaust valvles lol. They're better at withstanding heat, oxidation, and high RPM. Are they necessary? 99% of the time probably not, but I wanted to upgrade everything short of the shortblock while we were in there.

Oh ok haha, so you must have stock LT4 intake valves with aftermarket iconel exhaust valves? At least I don't think the LT4 had stock iconel valves from the factory?

I too have a A10 SS and we completed PHASE 2 upgrades which DO NOT include heads and cam but DO include:

RotoFab
Kooks 2 inch headers
Magnaflow back half Exhaust
LT2 ported manifold with LT5 throttle body
E85 Flex Fuel Kit
AMP 160 degree thermostat and billet housing

Phase 3 upgrades which which will be done NEXT WEEK include:
AMP custom Spec CAMSHAFT
AMP custom spec CNC heads

It is expected that this will produce a MINIMUM of 100-120HP increase for total of 580-600 RWHP. I will post DYNO up after this upgrade. The goal was to have MORE HP than my ZL1 did but to stay naturally aspirated. Car has suspension upgrades already. The car is roughly 250 pounds LIGHTER than my Zl1 1LE was.

I use this car ALOT in road racing and so I wanted a very flat power curve which you can see it does . This DYNO below again is with STOCK heads and cam.
