Continental DWS06+ or Michelin Pilot Sport A\S3+?
So I am looking to buy a set of all-season tires for my 2017 Camaro 2SS. I have a set of 1LE wheels with Pilot Sport 4S's for the summer.
I cannot decide between the Continentals or the Michelins. Anyone have experience with these? I am looking for the smoothest, most comfortable ride and lowest road noise (not concerned with performance as these are the best). Thanks. |

I think both are on par with each other though the DWS is an older design it's got an updated rubber compound to (supposedly) improve snow traction. I think the DWS is generally very well liked but some report a soft sidewall on the non+ version of the tire so it's got some mushy handling. I'd really think that both are excellent and one's not per se better or worse than the other in performance.

The DWS 06 Plus seems to compare very favorably to the Michelin PS A/S 4 (not 3). I agree that the Conti has better ride and lower noise. The new Michelin actually seems to have a slight edge in snow while the Conti is better on ice, but both tires are a way ahead of the rest of the pack. If you really meant the Michelin A/S 3, then I think the new Conti is the better tire.

Of the two you might just be talking about what your budget supports as there's not a huge difference in those two, IMHO.

The tires could not handle packed or deep snow and they considered it to really be more of a "3 Season" tire. By the way, I purchased the Continentals through Discount Tire. They have a 5% off for Cyber Monday and I also used their Discount Tire card financing. This gave me an additional $80 off the price and 0% financing. There is also a $70 rebate on these tires right now. If you are looking to save some money, the time is good right now. |

Looks like the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4 ZP is a run flat, which could be an advantage. Personally I have DWS06+'s on the way.

They make them in run-flat and non-run-flat versions. I would personally avoid the run-flats because they tend to ride harshly and whoever has to mount your tires will probably hate you and pour sugar in your gas tank.

Ordered a set of DWS06 plus for next summer. Picked them due to availability, price and reviews. My main concern was noise was comfort. Autox is largely gone in my area so a dedicated summer for street use was pointless.
