shop offers 900HP package...

So, I ran across the link below for a shop that offers a ZL1 900HP package. I'm not questioning if they can do it or not. I'm just looking at their list of mods and see a lot of mods I have (highlighted in RED) and wondering. With out addressing any fuel system limitations. Is it really the heads, CAM and Meth that's making this big 900HP? The package lists these mods: CAR PERFORMANCE 900HP PACKAGE INCLUDES

Roto-Fab Big Gulp Intake System
Nick Williams LT 103mm Drive-By-Wire Throttle Body
KONG Performance LT4 Stage X CNC Ported Supercharger w/103mm Inlet
Elite Engineering E2-X Catch Can
GripTech 2.30" Upper Pulley w/10-Bolt Hub

ATI Harmonic Balancer and 8-Rib OD Pulley and HD Belt
NGK Spark Plugs
JDP Motorsports Gen V LT4 Head and Camshaft Package
Katech Gen V LT Wet Sump Oil Pump
Ron Davis Racing Heat Exchanger
AeroForce 52mm Single Dash Gauge Pod
AEM X-Series Wideband UEGO AFR Sensor Controller Gauge with OBDII
HP Tuners MPVI3
Alky Methanol Trunk System with Mounting Plate
Mobil1 Engine Oil and GM filter
JDP Limited Warranty
Professional Installation by JDP Motorsports
Custom Dyno and Street Tuning via HP Tuners exclusively by JDP Motorsports

Heads and cam allow you move much more air through the motor at much lower boost numbers. 900 crank is nothing crazy…probably 750-770 WHP.

The meth allows them to spin the blower faster and make more boost to get to the 900 hp level. I’m sure it’s legit, but I’d rather build without meth. Of course it would probably require a 2650 to get there.

ok cool.... I thought it was RWHP not crank.

So meth is better then say a interchiller due ot the fact that it's spraying directly into the air intake/cylinders vs just cooling

They’re likely using it for cooling purposes and to help keep the fueling in line. 900 crank is pretty close to maxing out LT4 fueling (with a +32 or more cam lobe of course).

You’re better off getting a real fuel system and run E. That’s better than meth or an Interchiller IMO.

Pretty sure the OP thought the "900" package was rated at the wheels. It's a crank hp rating. As Josh mentioned that equals 750-770whp which is a run of the mill package.

? Or run more boost (with at least an X-port 1740), with all the bolt-ons, with all the E' (and PI and an aux' pump) and make that kind of power without cracking into the engine ?

It wouldn't have a cool chop though...

I didn't mean that in a negative way. That is plenty of power for a rwd street car. I just meant that as being an easy reliable power to hit in these cars that is still useable on the street.

So, as I'm typing this post. I know a 34% or 38% CAM is in my future. Maybe not the near future since spring/summer is right around the corner. But, this fall when the weather turns to SH. The engine will come out and the built will happen accordingly. I might have a one of the many reputable shops here on the forum do the work. But, I've been inspired by what SOCAL.M6.ZLE has done with his! So I might just do the work myself! Regardless, my build still doesn't have the one thing I want most: A choppy idle !

not at all, I was at 908whp without meth or a 2650, I did use a 2300 though because it was built before the 2650 was released. I'm sure I could have put down the same numbers with a ported stock blower.

My "run of the mill" build is a lot of fun for a street car and more than enough for the street. Anything more is impossible to use, unless in Mexico with drags.

A10 or 6 speed? How does that cam drive?
