Happy Turkey day folks!
Been spending a bunch of time trying to educate myself on the e92 ecu (within reason). This tune was originally done by Ted Jannetty. For the time we spent on it and the reasonable cost, I am happy with the results. WOT have and continue to remain as good as I can expect - smooth and consistent. However, there have been some drivability issues that remained from the tuning sessions that I've been workin to iron out. I've been able to get the hessitations and trq mgt timing pulls mostly removed. The drivability has improved drastically, but still some more tweaking is required on the driveability front. The 1LE 'rev match bogging bug' still exists, have a potential path forward for this in the works with some former colleagues. That said, I've tweaked the VVE and VTT tables a bit which removed the positive tps trqmgt intervention completely (or so it appears). Changes made were - lowered the bottom ~3 rows of VTT and then made a small 1% change to VVE around 3-4k. Hessitation is gone and its much easier and pleasurable to drive at lower speeds now. I've attached a log from lastnight. The only thing I see at the moment that MAY be inconsequential but is bothering me is the MAX trq being reported. It seems to plataue low (~400) and doesnt match the other trq values. Ive read a lot that this MUST be higher than the others and is a hard limiter, but then I've also read to the contrary. I know Ted is a busy guy and I don't want to pester him with questions on something that he does for a living. Hence the post. Any chance you guys can take a peek at this log and tell me what you see? Naturally, any further/updated insight on the trq PID heierarchy would be awesome too. After countless hours of web crawling I can see the evolution of hptuners and the e92 platform in the public realm, and I'm not sure what to believe anymore. Any insight is very much appreciated. Short log below. |
