Desert to Forest
I made the move to South Carolina, all the way from Arizona. I have to say...I liked the flat, straight Arizona roads a lot more than the winding, hilly country out here in Columbia. They're fun to drive on and all, but I can't wait to get back to my Sonoran home.
It'll be a long stay for me in this part of the country honestly, going to college and all...and living with my folks again after military. But it'll be well worth it!

I've mimicked your move, but stay north of you!
Nevada to North Carolina (but considering going back)

Just coilovers and new mounts made a huge difference on my car and I am still rockin the stock mushy sways and OEM rear bushings. Corners feel so much better, but I'm not done yet of course. Our 2010 SS's are little piggies on the stock setup. My only complaint is that I lowered it so much that I hit my collectors twice at 80mph on the Suncoast Expressway in Tampa an hour ago. First time I have done that, and I hated it.

I'll look into coilovers and such as well, having taken a ride on these hills...it's a STARK change from the desert highway.
