Planned engine build - part 1

Hello Camaro fans. I have a 2018 2ss and I’m thinking about a building plan to maximize airflow into the engine.

So just focusing on inflow of air:
I want to do a roto-fab CAI, Katech 103 mm throttle body, MSD atomic Air Force manifold, and in the future supercharging it and final tune.
Other plans include headers, cat-back as far as airflow going out of the engine.

I intend to do this myself at home and I’m not a mechanic. Just going off YouTube videos. figured that’s the fun in it. Any suggestions like alternative brands or other parts I should consider? (For starters I think the pieces of this build should all fit together right? lol)

Last thing is I live in Massachusetts so i do need to make sure i can pass inspection.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

you are following in my footsteps, I have a very long post a while back about everything I learned.
1) if you intended to go FI, don't do anything on the intake, it will add no HP or can't be used under FI
2) go with 1 and 7/8 coated headers with green cats, tune and gauges that you will need like A/F and / or an N-gauge in the vent.
3) get the little plugin tuner from HP-Tuner dealing with a laptop is a problematic
4) My old G-tech is dying, the new GPS G-Tech are great and they can readout actual road HP so you can have fun monitoring your gains. 0-60 and 0-100 (which I use).
4) If you have extra time and / or money look at a Zl1 pump in the tank or a DSX second fuel pump, you will need it down the road.

Oldman is correct if your future goal is to go forced inducted then focus on getting money set aside for it.
1.)the 103TB can be used with a supercharger of your choice whether it is PD or Centrifugal. the MSD will only work with a Centrifugal S/C or Turbo set up. the roto fab for the LT1 is not compatible with Centrifugal S/C's but can be modified for P/D superchargers like whipple, magnuson, etc, some turbo set ups retain it if you do rear mounted.
2.)for exhaust upgrades headers are pretty much common place with any build i prefer the 2'' pair over teh 1 7/8 as there really is no lose from them in low end torque and with forced induction it is beneficial.
3.)MPVI-II from HPtuners is an absolute must if you plan to do work yourself, paired with a AEM Wideband AFR gauge 0334 it allows yout to remote tune the vehicle and data log accurately.
4.)Fueling cannot be hit enough for forced induction builds. depending on the power level you are aiming for the LT4 Injectors, High pressure fuel pump and Lowside fuel pump with get you just under 1k whp before the injectors are reaching max duty cycle. i

if you need specifics on anything feel free to message i am happy to help out!

I'll add that on a centri it will add zero HP and there are issues with the intake hose hooking up with the 103mm. So you will be putting back the stock TB in all probability.

Same goes for the MSD, it will work but it is worth zero HP. If he REALLY wants a tb and intake manifold and will go centri, get the pray ported stuff, still don't think it adds anything or adds so little there is no SOTP difference from bone stock to completely 103mm and ported MSD.

PDBlower you know what you are talking about.

I picked 1 and 7/8 due to fitment. If this was a full D1x or 2600cc build I'd ask for 2", agree there is no loss in low end. I know there are people insistent there are no issues with 2", I have direct experience on several brands that says otherwise. Not bad, don't get me wrong, but Joe Average can't handle a dent here a grind there move subframe etc (no HP loss even with MAJOR dent).

I went with Lingenfelter stuff, on my second FI build. LT4 stuff works fine to 700 WHP IMO.
