Dyno Results Flex Fuel (E50)

I finally had the chance to get my ZL1 dyno’d and re-tuned after adding a DSX flex fuel adaptor, LT5 throttle body, 180 degree thermostat and rotofab CAI. Purchased everything except for the rotofab from Jannetty Racing. Also had a base tune from Jannetty.

Showed up with an E50 blend at the request of the tuner.

Ended up with 632hp and 609tq.

I’m very happy with the results. The best numbers came on the 4th pull when heat soak was a minor factor.

The car runs like a champ and it’s a nice power boost without a ton of $$$ invested.

Now to decide if this is enough or just a temporary stopping point on the HP journey...

Got a before and after dyno sheet or just a new sheet by chance? Also, SAE numbers or?

No before... first time dyno’d. It was STD.

Great result..... nice work. Did you port the blower snout, or just open it up to accommodate the 95mm TB?

My setup is almost identical with a ported blower snout. I ended up with 619TQ / 587HP but ran out of low side fuel pressure at E37. I also had 167 degree IAT’s as the day was 100F and 86% humidity.

I’ve modified a low side assembly with a DW400 and Dyno it again.

Nice work.

I believe it was just opened up. The LT5 came with an adaptor... I didn’t do the actual install, though. I am thinking of having Kong port my supercharger, but fuel will most certainly become issue if I go much further.

I thought the LT5 throttle body could be bolted on to a stock LT4 blower, so long as the bolt holes on the throttle body are opened up? No mods needed to blower snout.

Good numbers; a10 or m6 car?

The LT5 throttle body came with an adaptor plate. Nothing was done to the blower snout.

Car is an M6.

Interesting.... They must have modified the adaptor plate thickness at some point. I have the same setup and it required massaging the blower snout. I decide to have the snout ported whole it was apart.

I believe most of the blower porting advantage to be in the snout. Porting the snout with larger TB and CAI will flow more into the blower for more compressible air, while porting after the blower will decrease boost on a stock engine without
Pulleys. You can see in this photo he ported the shout to match the adaptor.

Unfortunately, I never really looked that closely at the adaptor before having it installed. If I go the ported supercharger route, it’ll be interesting to see what had been done to the adaptor.

Interesting. I guess I am not sure why they would use the adapter. If you were already pulling the blower to port match the adapter, why not simply ream out the mounting holes on the LT5 throttlebody and skip the adapter all together?
