ZL1 delivery day!!!

Today is finally the day I swap my 19 1SS 1LE for my 18 ZL1 I found last week. The weather here in Indiana hasn't cooperated so I've been stuck staring at the ZL1 in the dealer service bay. So excited to finally make the upgrade. Any former 1LE SS owners make the upgrade to ZL1? I'm very excited for the A10 as I've heard it is a phenomenal upgrade experience from M6. While I love "rowing the gears", I'm a sucker for paddle shifters and their immediate response with the Automatics I've had before. No immediate plans to track the car, but with such a power upgrade, perhaps I'll be talked into it.

One questions: Am I correct that the MRC from the 1LE is identical to the ZL1? I love the performance settings from the 1LE and understood they were quite an upgrade over a traditional SS.

Anything else I should expect or be prepared for with the swap?

Get ready for the extra hp! There is a difference! It took me about a week of driving to get accustomed to the extra 200 hp over my 2016 2SS after I drove it home from the dealership 300 miles away when I bought it. I couldn’t really tell a difference in the mag ride of the SS as compared to the ZL1 but I’m sure there are differences in both. You will enjoy your new hotrod. I will guarantee it!! P.S. post a couple of pics here!

Oh yeah, be careful driving on those GY Supercar tires in crappy weather conditions!

Pics will certainly be forthcoming once safely tucked in the garage. Thanks for the reminder about the Supercars. My 1LE had those and I learned real quick they are not in their element below 40 degrees.

I'm sure the calibrations are different among the MR, but the feel should be about the same. Different suspension hardware would require different compression and rebound curves, I'm sure, but I bet the feel is about the same.

Mine is the first Camaro I've had for more than 10-years, and that was a 4th Gen. It's amazing to me how well this car rides compared to my LS1-car. This car is simply amazing. All the reviews are so right.

Congrats!

Congrats on the ZL1. They really are a world class sports car and that 10 speed is amazing. When you're ready for some mods hit us up. We have tons of options and packages for the LT4.

The settings work exactly the same...not sure if the mechanical parts are any different but I would guess they would be nearly the same with minor calibration differences.

I am in ft. wayne area also. Long as you dont thrash the crap out (traction limited) of it, you'd be fine running it home. Going to be in the 40's this weekend anyway. I drive my zl1's all the time in the cold with no issues so far.

I just traded my 2017 SS 1LE a couple weeks ago for a 2019 ZL1.
I noticed in tour mode the suspension was a little bit more compliant or softer.
I have not had much seat time because of the weather.
(only 30 miles so far)

Finally home

Took a bit of car shuffling, but finally the ZL1 is home. Just a short jaunt from the dealer, but I can certify the hype is real. Love even the hint of that supercharge whine. Just in tour mode you know you're strapped into a rocket!Name: 2019 cars.jpg

Any regrets going from an SS 1LE to a ZL1? Hope you enjoy that new rocket ship and I really like the color! I’m one that made the transition from an SS to a ZL1 and couldn’t be happier! Just couldn’t afford new so bought a 2017 used with less than 500 miles.
