aftermarket stering wheel adapator
Anyone knows if there is something on the market to install an aftermarket steering wheel like a Sparco or OMP?
Can't find anything, are the splines the same design as the gen5? thanks |

NRG makes an adapter. It fits the shaft but you have to mill out a pocket for the electrical connector on the clock spring. See my post on making a steering wheel extension...
https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=534793 If you use an aftermarket wheel with no airbag, there are airbag bypasses (resistor and fuse) included with the adapter |

thanks guys, we are building a race car so the air bags will all be removed. NRG it will be then, i was hoping for some Momo or Sparco adaptor but seems like NRG is the only one to make it. That is a lot of small splines for that shaft! Thanks for the link to your thread.

thinking about it, we might use the weld in solution also, Lifeline makes a geat weld in quick release, i would have to see the size of the camaro steering shaft to see if it can be fitted. We will receive our car only in february.
