How do I get my stage 2 cam to sound like this?

I want my cam to go from sounding like this: https://youtube.com/shorts/3kNPAX-6_...3vUHn0ygBUli5J

To sounding like this: https://youtu.be/LeVmR6myPC8?si=fYfYJhRgPehwJeus

We have the same Cam and setup only I have axle backs and he’s using the stock muffler. BTR225

Yeah it’s super weird almost every video I see sounds like the second one with a few exceptions. It has to be the tune I’m guessing.

It's all in the tune.

So should I be looking to lower or increase idle speed to get that sound?

I believe you target lower idle. I’ve heard of them being set from 850 to 925 RPM but I’m not an expert.

Right now it looks like I’m 700ish

presuming timing at idle is correct, increasing your idle speed will make it lope harder. if you are at 700 now id go to 850 and see what happens. it will be trial and error to get the sound you want.

i presume that 225 cam has an exhaust duration near or above 240*. it will chop plenty.

It's not idle speed. It's idle control settings in the tune.

update so I lowered my Idle from 725 to 680 and it chops more but is a hair quieter, so I think it's my cats at this point. I also tried rasing it to 850rpm and it was loud but didn't chop much at all
