Transmission loss through the A10?
Just wondering what the general consensus is in terms of the loss between crank and wheel horsepower?
Being a far more modern car I'd expect it to be in the 10-15% range? So stock cars on the dyno pulling 575 would be in the moreoreless at the claimed 650? My previous car, a heavily tuned HSV R8 (similar to the old Pontiac G8) was putting down 550 at teh wheels but almost 700 at the crank through a Tremec 6060 manual box! |

Dyno have shown 15% loss with manual transmissions. The transmission would not be a huge factor, right, since they all test in the same (or near same) ratio?
Fifth:0.85 A10 vs 0.80 M6 Sixth: 0.67 A10 vs 0.63 M6 FWIW, Hellcats have 12% loss. source: https://www.torquenews.com/106/2017-...s-down-554rwhp . |
