2018 ZL1 1LE M6 for 2018/19 ZL1 A10?

I am looking for some feedback from you guys that may have some real world experience with these cars. I am seriously considering trading my 2018 ZL1 1LE M6 for a 2018/2019 ZL1 A10. I have not had the opportunity to drive the A10, but based on conversations I have had with people who have, the A10 seems to have made a very positive impression on most people who have driven it. I do not track my car, so any benefits of the M6 on a track would really not apply to me. I love the 1LE, but it is a pretty stiff ride, especially on the rougher roads. What do y'all think?

I think if you aren't going to tack the car and the ride is rough to you then you may be in the wrong car.

The fact that you are considering the trade may already be pointing to the correct answer.

I have a M6 ZL1 1LE and it is an exclusive track car for me. I didn't have a transmission choice when I bought my 2018 but if I was purchasing one now I would take the A10.

I just switched from the M6 to an A10 equipped car and they drive a lot differently. I have all M6 cars for the last 4 vehicles on purpose. After driving the A10, I really like it. In track mode its an animal, and tour its smooth, and gentle ride, till you romp it and then it attacks.

That's exactly the type of feedback I am looking for!! My SS 1LE is an M6 car, my Z07 is an A8 car. I am thinking the ZL1 A10 will be the best of both worlds for me.

To be clear on your comparison - you are switching to the MAG RIDE ZL1 A10 and not the ZL1 1LE A10? As you won't feel much of a difference with ride quality between M6 1LE and A10 1LE.

ZL1 ride is smooth. Love it! And the A10 is just outstanding. I’m still amazed how fast it shift when getting in it.

The ZL1 will have MRC and will ride different than the ZL1 1LE. The A10 will be faster than the M6 but if you don’t want to shift anymore then it would be the way to go. It’s ultimately your decision though to make on which one to buy. Good luck!

Correct. Switching from the M6 1LE to ZL1 A10, Mag Ride suspension.

To me the regular ZL1 is the way to go if you are not a regular track rat...you will love the A10.

Sounds to me you are on the correct path.

If you're not tracking the car, there's no sense in putting up with track suspension on the street. Ours will be tracked a couple times a year (we have another dedicated track car), but it's primarily a street car and for that reason I skipped the ZLE. Also, I wanted the A10, and it wasn't available in the ZLE at the time anyway. The A10 is fantastic! I've always had manual trans cars, but there's no denying the capabilities of modern autos. It's really a perfect match for the LT4.

The standard ZL1 with the magride is a fantastic GT car... comfortable, but still capable of amazing handling and speed. As noted above, stomp the loud pedal and it attacks!

Just don't consider it a four seater... back seat is a bad joke.

Almost 20,000 miles later and I still enjoy the A10. I run it in manual mode most time. I had manuals for most of my prior fun cars, but I am still impressed with the A10's performance in almost every setting. The mag ride is great. No punishment on rough roads, but the regular ZL1 can still hustle. I use it in AutoX all of the time.

I looked at and test drove a 2018 A10 ZL1 today (Red Hot) and am hooked. It has 439 miles on it and will be sitting in my garage come this weekend. I absolutely love the looks of the ZL1 1LE (except the rear spoiler), but the A10 drives awesome! Looking forward to making the swap and getting it home to put some miles on it.
