SS1LE at the Nurburgring - The Sound!

Good Lord!

From what I understand, his setup is 1 7/8 LT Headers + Xpipe paired to the stock muffler box.

The sheer anger of this thing beyond 4500rpm is just otherworldly.

Talk about motivation to get headers now....

The NPP muffler sounds good by itself. There's no real need to spend $1000 on an axleback *puts up flame shield*

My MBRP race (basically straight pipes) made mine louder and deeper. Even in track mode the exhaust goes through a section of muffler. I only paid $400. The only thing i don't like is the increased pops and gurgles. I like them but sometimes it sounds like a gun fight broke out.

I can understand someone who doesn't have the NPP getting a cat back exhaust system, but it was a $995.00 dollar option, why would one just cut it off to put something different on? One might shave some weight off by getting rid of the suitcase but GM spent a lot time and money to get the right sound with no drone.

I Love it! It actually brings to mind one of the sweetest sounds in the automotive world -- a Shelby Daytona race coupe in full song.

Looks like it was just under 9 minutes? Pretty impressive, assuming it is just Joe Average off the street with an otherwise stock 1LE. Says a lot about the capabilities of these cars.

You do understand that option doesn't equate to you having a choice in the matter, right? It's as if you've never bought a car off the lot before. Besides the factory NPP is some weak ass soy boi garbage.
