Headers vs cat-deletes
I'm considering a set of Texas speed 1 7/8 headers. But after thinking about the yearly emissions check and overall install I was wondering if cat deletes would be a better choice. Can someone tell me if there's a huge difference going with long tubes vs deletes? Also for the yearly emissions check it would be easy to remove deletes and bolt in the cats.
Does anyone make a midpipe x like the borla 60606 that deletes the cats and bolts directly to the factory shortys? The 60606 only deletes the secondary cats. Appreciate any input. |

Sounds like your best bet would be LTs with green cats.

My suggestion, would be a tune with the factory cats in place, with the secondary cats deleted with the Borla Pipe. Typically a tuned car vs a tuned car with headers is the difference between 25 - 35 rwhp. Again, not sure if you're looking for sound, removing heat or cheaper rwhp so given you my best advice from a "how can I make the most power for the least amount of money perspective".

The difference between headers and cat delete pipes will be minor on a stock car. The more you mod however the more it will grow. I would do it right and get headers up front.
