Cordless impact drill
Anybody using a cordless impact drill that will break the 140# lug nuts loose on our cars? My old cordless isn't nearly strong enough, and is due for replacement.

My Milwaukee 1/2 chuck 18v does it. Barely, but it’ll get them.

My dewalt 20v non-brushless does it easily and there are much stronger models available from most brands.

I have the Ridgid 18v 1/2" cordless impact that can it with a 4Ah battery (2Ah battery can kinda do it but it craps out and needs a break after doing a 2 wheels). Makita also makes a few that can do it; one listed at 210ft-lb and another at 1,180 ft-lb. In general, I'd assume that as long as you get an impact that's rated over 200 ft-lb and a >3Ah battery that you'd be able to do it.

My old dewalt surely doesn't! Breaker bar all around, which is good way to see if you are developing any problem studs too.

Incidentally, make sure to use an impact wrench, not an impact driver.

Me too! Use a breaker to get them loose and a 4 sided spinner to get them off. No NASCAR here
Going on is hand start, spinner and torque wrench. No power tools on my lugs.

Rigid 1/2 Cordless Impact Wrench does 400+ lb/ft so yeah it breaks it easily...plus Home Depot backs with warranty for the batteries.
