Camaro SS vs BMW 335i race
What to expect in a legal track race between both cars from a dig and rolls?

You can expect to see his headlights in your rear view mirror.

Isnthe 335i stock? They're dont need much mods to be faster than an M4.

I had a 335 with a tune. SS is quicker. Shouldn’t really be close unless the 335 is heavily modded. Even then it’ll be closer but the SS is still quicker. Now if we were talking M4, you would still be quicker. However, M4 with a tune and a few bolt-ons and the M4 is quicker than a stock SS.

depends. 335i with a simple boost tune like JB4, that is instant 100 hp on the crank. cold air intake another 10 - 20 ish hp.
with bolt on like intercooler, downpipes against a stock SS then it should be even if not quicker. my 335i Convertible stock 5 seconds with the tune and air intake itself already feel faster than my SS...

Older 335i with the N54 and some mods will wreck an SS. I had one, and knew some people pushing 600+ HP out of 'em. $1,500 and you're at 500 HP.
Stock for stock though, it's no contest. |

335i X-drive will beat you off the line and pull for a while IMO with that low-rpm turbo torque. At the least it'll be easier to get off the line faster as it will usually be an auto and X-drive is very common. Your SS will shine at the higher speeds, speeds that are usually quite illegal unless it's a track. Road course track, turns, the SS will take it easy.
What is most important? 0-60, 1/8, 1/4, autoX, etc...?

My friend has a 135IS with the DSG- similar but a little quicker than the 335. It's the same as an M- like an M1. The car has massive 4 piston brakes all around and has the bigger turbo in it. That car flies and is a race car on the track. He lined up once against a STI, Focus RS and a Gen 5 Camaro SS. He smoked them all- the STI and RS in particular by a lot. The SS did the best and would slightly gain on him on the long straight aways and very high speed. He's even beat twin turbo Mercedes with V8's too. I'd be curious how he would do against a Gen 6 SS- it would be a real race- from a dig and around the track.

I also had a 335i. If it is modded and the SS is stock the SS can easily lose. Auto to auto. But the manual makes the 335i much more fun.

I have a convertible 135i with the DCT and an "s" tune... it's a quick, but not M4 levels. Driven properly a 6th gen will walk an M4. You'd need a lot of mods to get a 335i to M4 levels of power while remaining reliable and not heat soaking after a run or two. Besides the power a 335i will also need a way to fit wider tires and an LSD. It's basically cheaper to get an M3/4 at that point, unless you really want a Q-ship.
