Drag wheel and tire help

I have been reading and just can't find any clear info. I'm looking to get a set of drag wheels and tire setup does anyone know of a setup that I wouldn't have to grind the brakes any I just cant fathom the thought of grinding on them. I really love the setup RPM is running anyone know any details?

These TSW Interlagos will work:

18x9.5 5-120 40 0ffset. Available in black or silver and only around 20 pounds. Lighter = faster.

http://www.amazon.com/TSW-INTERLAGOS.../dp/B00849I94S

TSW Nurburgings in the same size will also fit.

They come in gunmetal and sliver but are a little heavier. You will also need '16 Camaro PSI senders and tuner lug nuts. You can see the Nurburgrings on the orange 1Le below.

http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...mn=Nurburgring

C6 Corvette front wheels will also fit. The bolt pattern is slightly different than the Camaros but they fit. The C6 repos are about the cheapest option but these wheels are heavier than the TSWs. It is hard to find used C6 wheels as they are popular 5th gen drag wheels.

I know they are not cheap, but personally I would only run Weld drag wheels. They look fantastic, and are specifically made for the task.

I just ordered a set of the RTS S71's in 17x10. Gonna slap a set of 26x12.50 radials on them and see what it does. Should have numbers on Sunday.

With 17's you'll probably need to grind down the caliper for them to fit. s

The RTS with the high pad height fits without any grinding over the Brembo's. It's the only wheel that does. Luckily my local shop's warehouse has them in stock.....not quite sure how since everyone is on a 3-4 week lead time. And I'm getting them for a good price.

Nice. I think the 28" tire will be much better than the 26"

No rub on brakes? Have to pull back and tie back e brake cable?

Don't have to do a thing. I only bolted them on, but I didn't see any issues at all. I'm anxious to see what it does in 2 weeks.

These Weld's fit perfectly without rubbing on a darn thing. I forgot about this thread once I started getting to run hard and realizing I had a bunch of tuning work to do to get full advantage of the tires.

No rubbing, no grinding anything. You can even use the stock lug nuts if you use a thin wall socket.

Next purchase will be matching fronts and skinnies.

Thanks, it'll look better once I get the fronts and have the skinnies on it.
