FE3 toe links on an FE2 suspension?

Thought it would be a good idea to use the SS links on my LT, However
when I ran the P/N 23117751 on GM Parts Direct, it came back with,
Won't Fit my car! Any LT owners attempted this?

its the basic same thing as the v6 1le. the v6 1LE uses the fe3 toe links which are ball jointed.

Performance upgrades on the Camaro V6 1LE include the base Camaro SS’ FE3 suspension (dampers, rear cradle mounts, ball-jointed rear toe links, and stabilizer bars),

The site only says it won't fit because it doesn't match your original configuration. As we've shown, certainly the whole Camaro6 platform suspension parts are interchangeable, and many Alpha platform suspension bits are identical.

Swapping in the ball-jointed toe links will improve the fidelity of your toe-curve through suspension travel and alignment precision over the breadth of g-loading.

Can we make this a forum heading? I feel like a huge volume of upgrade questions could be answered by this simple statement.
