Yeah the retail prices are about $3-4000 higher than what you can do with some haggling and traveling.
The trade-in if accurate, is an eye opener. Wow. If you paid close to MSRP you may lose about 45% in depreciation in 2 years. Unless you sell pvt party. Thats nuts. Glad I bought used. Of course a lot of 2016 Camaro owners got 30% or more off of sticker, so they didn't lose as much to depreciation

99/100 potential private party buyers are more likely to be familiar with KBB, and have never heard of the black book or whatever this new one you listed was. That’s an issue regardless of which one you deem to be more “accurate”.

Thanks for the link. Its just another tool to assist with determining value. In the end, the person handing over the cash to you determines the value.
