The GM Card mailer arrived March 2nd offering me a Bonus $1500 off any GM vehicle. That got the wheels turning and research began. I didn't qualify for the Asian Conquest $2500 rebate but at mid-month GM added the Discontinued Nameplate Conquest which qualified my old 2009 Pontiac G8 GT for an additional $2K off. Hardcore negotiations began in earnest with a distant dealer looking to offload their old 2017 Camaro inventory. They had a sweet RS V6 Camaro with a stick, nicely equipped with my desired options. The back & forth lasted til month's end netting the following SMOKIN' deal:

Total financed through GM Financial @4.49% with my Tier 1 Credit. I have to keep the loan for at least 3 full months so they don't rescind the $1500 Down Payment Assistance. After that I'll refinance at my credit union for 2.20%. I also got them to throw in a matching silver set of GM front mud guards that I'll install myself. My leased 2016 Camaro proved they are necessary to protect the 1/4 panel flares.
