8 year old stripes removed
I could not take the stripes another day, so.... off with them!
A ton of work, the wax lines at sticker edge is the worst. Take a bit of cutting to get the clear straight. I am so much happier now |

And, I want a sleeper as much as possible. You could see the stripes coming from a mile away. You seen them a hundred times coming at you down the road. Not for me.

My SS has never had any stripes and I like the clean no nonsense look it has. I like what you've done!

Nice... I like it! I had the dealer peel the fender stripes off my 1le... said I wouldn't drive it off the lot with them...

I like it. It looks more sinister with the black wheels and no stripes.

I am one who thinks stripes on the 5th Gen make the car look cheap, especially if they are not painted. Although, after 8 years I'd be worried about ending up with some type of ghost-stripes. But it looks a lot better, IMO.

Like many others I am not for the stripes either! As one other member put it; "the sinister look" is the best.

Good points ....but i find the standard SS looks very plain without them. The car looks good now but plain black cars are everywhere. The stripes make it pop.

I think it depends on the base color. Mine is a Bright Yellow. I think it is just TOO much color! But I don't want any factory stripes. Going to get different wheels first, then make a few, subtle changes to break up the YELLOWNESS!
