How much HP?
Hey guys, tomorrow I take my car to get tuned. When I first got it we did a base line dyno pull to get a good benchmark and we put down 550 HP to the wheels. Since then we added Roto Fab CAI, Flex Fuel sensor for E85, Ported Tony M TB, and Vengeance Racing Upper pulley. What's everyone's guess on the HP we put down? I'll post the graph on Monday. I'm more excited about trying to tune away the torque management then adding the extra power.

Oh good point! OP, will the dyno be on 93 or E85? Or will you be adding E85 to whatever 93 you have left in the tank?
NOOO!

Alright, I'll let the 608 on 93 ride, and go with 637 on E85.

Isn't e85 really tricky on these LT4s? Thought there were some fueling concerns of some sort.

What flux fuel kit are you going with? Also why 2 tunes?
Once the kit is installed and parameters are set in tune, I have been on the impression that you can run 93 or E85 or mix, and it will make the changes automatically to the tune because of the kit.

I'm curious how it turns out. I'm pretty tight with a couple of the best, and longest tenure LS tuners in the country. One of them specializes in flex fuel tuning on the LT1 and other late model engines. He said e85 switch on these ZL1s isn't as straight forward due to the fuel system. I THINK the low side does some funny stuff but don't quote me. The ZL1 would definitely take a much larger volume of e85 opposed to an LT1. Maybe that's the issue??? |
