Aftermarket Exhaust question

So I recently put in my Megan Racing Coilovers in the car and while I was down there I saw how badly GM bent the pipes right before the mufflers. How restrictive are the bends in terms of sound and airflow? Also, I'm ordering Kooks headers soon, should I get a full catback also or would just an axleback be fine?

Catback is always better in terms of sound and a tiny bit of power. Depends on your budget

I don't mind paying for the catback if the stock exhaust is really that restrictive from the cat back. Especially in the course of modifying the car, but if the stock exhaust isn't so restrictive, I'll just go for an axle back for better sound lol

No it's not that restrictive but if sound is what you want, then catback is still better.

Simple law of thermodynamics: the further a gas travels from the heat source the less room it requires to maintain velocity.
