1400 miles in first 8 days

So I've owned my A10 for 8 days and driven 1400 miles. Of that, 1002 came over the last 3 days visiting my parents and grandparents. Can not say enough great things about this car!! Ride was smooth in touring mode and the recaros are so comfortable and supportive. Has more power than I can believe and can't wait to really open it up.

The A10 is a brain! Seems to always be in the right gear and leaving it in auto mode is so smooth and fast. Although down shifting with the paddles sounds so good.

The first 350 miles driving was mostly in town with probably 100 hwy and averaged 15-17 mpg. The last 3 days I've averaged 21.4mpg over 1002 miles, which I was very pleased with. Especially after giving every one in my family a quick "joy ride"!

Now comes time to clean her up. Car is plastered with bugs from driving in west Texas around all the dairies and feedlots.

21.4 is actually decent MPG. Guessing that's mainly highway though. I'm lucky to get that in mixed driving, but I probably drive a little fast.

Glad to see you're enjoying it!! These cars were meant to be enjoyed. And we buy them to enjoy them. I often get freaked out about mileage. But I remind myself that I bought it to have fun and that is what I'm gonna do.

I'm going to need to find Krypton Green masking tape or I'm considering back up all the way to the xpel installers shop.

Here are a couple other alternatives

Drive the car to the shop at 3 in the morning. The roads are usually empty.
Wait until Xmas day. Same as above.
Buy a house next door to a shop. Once the xpel is on tell the real estate broker the house is haunted.
Tell the installer your car is stuck in the garage because the battery is dead, then ask him to come by and jump it. Remind him to bring the film and all his tools since leaving the shop unattended he could get robbed.

I don't care about mileage. I as an American citizen have a right to burn as much gas as I can....

Bought it from Britain Chevy in Greenville. You should go talk to Jeff the sales manager and tell him you are on camaro 6, he is a long time member. Mike was the sales man I used. Both were very helpful! I know they have at least 2 more 2017's on the way. One M6 and one A10
