ss lease prices

Hi everybody,

I am a current owner of a 2013 1lt and i'm looking to upgrade into a new ss. I'll be leasing this time around and I'm trying to do some price research before I go into the dealer. Does anyone think it's possible to get into a 2ss for 500 or less a month after taxes? That's pretty much my upper limit. Keep in mind I do not qualify for any GM incentives at the moment. Thanks in advance for the help.

I believe you can't get any or very many incentives with a lease but I am sure someone with more experience will comment on it. My convertible that stickered for 54K is $603 a month, $52 of that is taxes. I have the 48 month lease with 10k miles a year, so if you get a 46k 2SS coupe, you might be where you want to be.

$500 or below seems a bit low for a 2SS. Really gonna depend on how cheap you can get the SS, how much you put down, length of lease and mileage.

I know many don't like leases, I never leased until the 13 SS 1LE. Worked out good for me as I was racking up miles and figured I would drive what I wanted. Someone got a nice clean car that looked like it had 1/3rd the miles on it when I turned it in. I was happy to not have to pay any turn-in penalties for wear and tear or excessive mileage so plan accordingly.

I've found recently that 1% of the cap cost (negotiated price before taxes) is a rough estimate.

Then add tax to each payment

In this post - 54k translated to $551 plus $52 tax

20,000 cap cost = $200mo + tax

ZL1 - 65k = 650mo + tax. A rough estimate, quick and easy to do.

Lower money factor, and/or higher residual, lower payments.
