Tachometer/ CEL with cam sensor position problem

Recently I got my camaro ss tuned after getting a cam and headers installed. As soon as it got tuned; the tachometer only works for a min and dies to zero. The CEL comes on throwing the code saying the cam position sensor is bad. I checked all the wiring, lose connecions and nothing is bad. All the grounds are good as well. Swapped the cam harness and sensor with a new one and still nothing. The HP tuners does read rpm from the ecm but the actual tach doesnt. What can be the issue? Is it a tuning problem or electrical? Car also runs good, no power lost whatsoever.
