Question on Extended Warranty..Seems Dealer gave me wrong thing
Yesterday i took the vehicle delivery 07/29, and i negotiated for 6yrs/48000 miles GM Bumper to Bumper, however when i am reviewing the documents, it seems like they haven't given me GM Bumper to Bumper rather they gave me Ally AUTO - MAJOR Guard which doesn't cover -
Sheet Metal, chassis frame, cross members, body rails, body panels, bumpers, glass, carpet, weather strips, trim, moldings, upholstery, vinyl tops, hinges, lenses, sealed beams, light bulbs, lamp assemblies and capsules, tires, wheels, exhuast system, catalytic converter, shock absorbers, batteries, electric / hybrid charging units, charge cords, solar panels, correction of air, water leaks, wind noise, odors, rattles. Does it sound like they are NOT giving bumper to bumper? Is it really a GM warranty or warrant from third party? Please suggest me guys what are your thoughts and what you could have done now further..? Last edited by Camaro100; 07-30-2016 at 11:13 AM. |

I would definitely ask your dealer what they actually sold you.
That doesn't look like bumper to bumper coverage to me. |

Dealers sell two types, the GMPP and the GMEPP. They sold you the GMPP but I think you wanted the GMEPP.

There is an exclusionary version of the warranty. It's better than the factory warranty but not necessary. You got the bumper to bumper that is comparable to the factory.

The bumper will pretty much cover everything except for tires, brakes, clutchs, etc. |

I talked to my dealer and they said it is GM warranty powered by Ally, however i don't see "GM" in warranty letter. They say that Major Guard is the best coverage by the policy but not sure whether it is really Bumper to Bumper.
Also what is the difference between GMPP and GMEPP |
