Moar AutoX!

I might have a problem...

3 AutoX's in the last 4 weeks.

One next weekend and then my 1st track day on 2/19.

I love this car.

My wife and I co-drove today. She is a novice and dropped almost 10 seconds between her 1st run and the last one.

Here is my best run: 46.107

And her best run: 53.060

PDR is awesome. Nice to hear you both cheering each other on.

Nice video, my first will be this Sunday (12 Feb). I'm used to AWD, so I am quite a bit nervous for my first event in a RWD. Spin cycle, spin cycle.

I came from an AWD platform as well Tim. My biggest takeaway from my first AutoX this past week was to leave the nannies on for the first run or two. PTM Dry was great for my first outing. PTM Sport 1/2 made the learning curve exponentially greater and IMO, I would not recommend it. GL!

Matt, very smooth man! I need to have your patience on the course. I blame the noises the car makes when your foot is on the floor!

Have you driven your previous AWD vehicles in autocross situations? If so I wouldn't expect that you would have much trouble with the 1LE, just ease into the throttle as you come out of corners a little more than you did with the AWD car. If you have not Autocrossed before check in with Warren Leach on Sunday when you sign in to see if he can get you someone to ride along with you. You could also find John Brady (lostwon on the boards here so you can PM him) and I am sure he will be happy to take you on a course walk and help you out. I am not sure if Will is going to be there but he goes by booyaa56 on the boards here and is a super cool guy and he just got a grey 1LE that he is currently driving around to get it over the break in mileage before the first autocross of the season. He runs at Qualcomm and up with the LA chapter I think out of Fontanta now.

I just looked at the SDR-SCCA schedule it looks like they don't have any practices until March. I highly recommend that you sign up for the practice days on Saturday before the Championships whenever you can. You usually get 10-12 runs each practice so it's a really good way to get extra seat time. I signed up for every single one when I first started out with the SD Region and it got me at least 1-2 years worth of seat time in a single season.
