Are you sure that's not an indication of an internal fracture? I's send a photo of it to the wheel manufacturer ASAP and ask that. IF it indicates a fracture, you do not want to be driving on that wheel.

There's no indication of a fracture or any sort of marring/damage that I can see, I've seen it on other painted wheels just wasn't sure if anyone had experienced it. It's the factory 20" Camaro wheel, I might run it by my local Chevy dealer and see what options I may have... also, the different color in the corner is just a reflection of my knee - it's not damage/discoloration of the wheel

If you present this to your dealer as a potential safety issue, he might replace the wheel undewr warranty out of liability concerns.

You can likely repair that with a little sanding (1000 grit) and some clear coat, Dealer might refer you to a wheel repair specialist they use for their used fleet. Or just pick up a new or nice used wheel. Is it a 8.5 or 9.5?

Jim G makes a very good point there; if you swing in and are able to pose the question in that fashion, you may end up with a brand-new wheel. Worst case, you come away empty-handed, having spent ~10 minutes of your time, and *then* proceed onto whatever was to be the next step anyway...
