Aftermarket pads for optioned 6 pistons/14.6'' rotors.

Has anyone changed to a better compound?

I haven't been able to find a cross reference from "OEM" to aftermarket.

Does anyone know for sure if the calipers the same as the c7? That would allow me to shop with drop down menus.

GM part#23245471

Just out of curiosity, how much are the factory replacement pads for the 6 piston kit?

240.00 from Amazon, I'm sure they can be had cheaper.

On the original issue, I spoke with Tim at power-stop, and it seems that using 2015 Z06 with steel rotor option is the same as the option 6 pistons.

Which are PST-1405 for 123.79 plus shipping from rockauto.com, unfortunately, the last track day in my area until Feb is this weekend, so I have no need to buy them just yet and be the guinea pig.

Thank you for the information and apologies for sidetracking your thread.

You're a track pioneer on here, I'm waiting until next spring to take mine out.

That's the same pad as the gen2 cts v, gen5 ZL1 everybody makes that pad. Power Stop is the last pad I'd buy. Look into Hawk High Performance Street 5.0

So are the calipers from the 16 kit the same as the CTS-v and old ZL1?

Why is that? I've used them on the track and they're great.

Then you use them, my experience on the street is that they are noisy and don't wear well

No, they are for a smaller rotor for starters, it just takes the same pad, based on the part# posted above.

I've only seen 1 post that says the gen5 doesn't fit, with no further comment. I have factory set from my SS that I'm going to try this weekend, they are 14". I put the gen5 ZL1 fronts on it, so if these fit the gen6 then.... if not, then the ZL1 & CTSV wont fit.

Yes, the track day pads are very noisy and wear fast and are very dusty. They are for the track. You are correct.

The OP didn't state, and the pads listed by Fifty are street pads, and that's what I was referring to. Even the factory pads can noisy. I've found they really need a slotted rotor to keep the glazing down. GMs fux only seems to work for people who just drive'm and forget them. Wheel cleaner does to good a job sometimes.

I was assuming he wanted track pads since there's a picture of the car at the track and for the street there isn't really any reason to not use Brembo.

That's correct, looking for track applications

Just bought front and rear track day pads from rockauto.com for right at 200$, 2 auto-x events and a possible HPDE in January, so I will let everyone know how they do.

Anyone who has used a "track" pad and had to commute to your event, did you commute on the good pads, or change them on site?

I have a 2 hour drive each way to my events, the pad changes on the fronts are a snap, but I am not sure about the rear, I'd hate to have to mess with that each time, but, that may be part of it!
