ORACLE ColorSHIFT DRLs, Demon Eyes, & Fog Lights Installation
On 11/25 I ordered the following ORACLE Lighting through NFC Performance:
1x 2016-2017 Chevy Camaro ORACLE ColorSHIFT DRL 3982-334 (part# includes 2.0 Remote) 1x ORACLE "Demon Eye" ColorSHIFT Projector Illumination Kit 8529-333 1x Backlit ColorSHIFT Fog Lights (V6) - 1293-333 1x ColorSHIFT 2.0 Remote They do have the DRL and Fog Lights, but not on their website yet. I emailed them and customer service was very prompt with answers to my questions and created 2 custom items for me to click on and checkout. They even responded on Thanksgiving about the availability of the fog lights! I missed the pre-order deal on these from the other company, and they took 9 days to respond to my question about the fog lights. So I will hopefully be installing them this weekend. I am in the planning stage of making sure I have all the tools, where to put the 2.0 controller, how to get through the firewall, and whether to power the controller through the parking lights or put on their own power. I will post pictures of everything and try to take some video as well. I spent the last 2 hours with the hood up and both doors open looking for a good (easy) place to come through the firewall. I've read the Gen5 has a stopper that can be pushed out to bring wires through to the cabin. So far, I haven't found anything like that on my Gen6. I have a V6 but I've heard the SS has a sound tube that people are removing that could possibly be used to get into the cabin - can't say since I don't have that. I did trace where the hood pull cable goes into the engine bay, and it's it feeds through a rubber piece that can be "pulled" into the cabin to make a hole for wiring. I think that is the best spot so far since they really sealed up the Gen6. If anyone has any suggestions or knows of an easier access on a V6, please let me know. I will be using Lethal's video How To on Removing the Front Bumper. I will update as I progress... here's a picture of the lights in their packages.

Yup... I like to think I'm good at this stuff, but there's a pro installer in town that I would take it to if for some reason I find it impossible to take on. I'm always up for a challenge and feel good when I can say "I did that".

What was the total for everything? So we would have to call in to order?

It was $310 for the DRL's and Demon Eyes. I believe the V6 Fog lights were $59. This includes a 5% discount for black friday. I sent an email asking about the drl's and fog lights. They created a "Angelo specil" link to add thrm to thr cart and place the order.

How hard was it to cut lights open? Did you get any video of opening them up? Can you tell from the outside once they were mounted back.

I have uploaded my installation video here.
It should answer some questions. On day 3 when finishing up, a thunderstorm rolled through about 2:30pm. When it stopped around 3:30pm, I was in a race to finish the wiring blocks, zip tie everything into place, and get the front bumper and wheels back on before my class at 6:30pm. Through all that I forgot to grab the camera and video the last part of it. Quote:
As far as seeing the "mess", you cannot see the cut plastic edges after installing them back on the car with the front bumper. The headlights are probably twice the size of what you see showing (takes the entire width of a normal oven). The fog light enclosures are pretty big as well, even though you only see the light strip that sticks out from the bumper. Everything else is hidden, even the top of the headlight plastic is covered by the bumper. Other than when I change the color of the lights would you notice that the car lights were not stock and that I ever messed with them. Please ask questions if I didn't cover something. I'll be more than happy to help.

I might have to add to this if you don't mind. Since you're did the cutting version I'm giving the baking method a try tonight.
Nvm tried baking them and the sealant doesn't want to seperate and ended up cracking the lens cover a little bit. This was at 225 degrees for about 20 minutes in total. Cut away my friends, cut away...

If you have anything to add that I may have missed, please feel free to add to the thread. I know I didn't have time to document the completed wiring and mounting of the box (I just finished that yesterday). Post pics when you're done! Good luck!

I'll get some pictures of the wiring when I mount them, but before I do that... What all did you use to clean the old silicone off the housing and lens?
Was debating about sand paper or just throwing them into a little bucket of googone or something of the sort
