Apex Wheels

Not sure how many of you are familiar with Apex wheels from other models of cars. They've been around for a long time making pretty lightweight, racing oriented wheels. If I am not mistaken, they started with BMW and now support a few other models as well. The wheels are flowformed.

I learned recently that Apex either pitched a group buy and/or manufactured a small run of 19x11 et44 wheels for one of the BMW platforms (either the ARC-8 or EC-7). They also have a 19x10 et25 wheel that is part of their normal stock. The 19x10 ARC-8 weighs 22lbs. I am not sure what the 11" wheels weighs. Retail price is in the $375-400 range per wheel. Unless they were specially made for the Camaro platform, they would require hubcentric rings since they have a BMW spec hub bore.

Any interest in these wheels as an option for our Camaros? I have reached out to them to inquire about availability of the 11" wheel and it might be helpful to have some gauge of the level of interest potentially from other members.

Here is a link to the 19x10 wheel that is normally stocked. https://www.apexraceparts.com/wheels...c-8-wheel.html

Yeah, a friend of mine has EC-7s for track use with his M3. He said he went with EC-7s because he could get the 18s to clear his 6 pot factory Brembos. After I pull the trigger on the 6 pot Brembos for the Camaro, I'm going to test fit his EC-7s on my car. If I can get 18s to clear the brakes (and at Apex prices), I'd be pretty happy. I think it would be a very good wheel for track use (or even better if I could order a custom center bore to match the Camaro without hubcentric rings).

18x11' ET44 and 18x9.5" ET22 EC-7s should be a perfect fit on the Camaro, except for the center bore. Those sizes would allow the use of cheap Nitto NT01 tires too. Stepping up to the 19 would add several hundred dollars for each set of tires.
