PSA: 315's on a Gen5 ZL1/1LE offset will NOT fit the rear

I searched here and asked on the numerous FB pages catering to the 6th Gen and came up with half truths and theoreticals, so I just had the time to finally try to stuff a 315/35/20 in the rear well myself on my ZL1 Bright 5 Spokes.

That said, an OEM 5th gen 11" rear with offset of 43mm will rub, by just about 2 1 millionths of an inch, this was on the passenger side, so it definitely wouldn't fit on the drivers side without moving the cable that runs in the fender-well.

Just thought I would pass this along.

I know that spacers can be used, but the use for the 315's would be under hard cornering and braking, and I am not comfortable using them under load.

Was it a 30 or 35 series tire?

Good catch, My bad, a 35, but with bumps and loading, I doubt a 30 would allow a comfortable buffer either.

Perdieu is running 315-35-20 on a 11" rim w/43 offset. Pics are in the Vorsteiner thread...

Seemed not to be an issue, but couldn't really measure.
