Bone stock dyno today at 275 miles

I kind of knew what to expect, but was still pleasantly surprised. Went to Vengeance Racing for their dyno night (Street Car Takeover) and put down 385 at the tires through the A8 trans. Sorry no torque number because the RPM lead was fouling up and locking the computer.

You should get another test, at least!

I've seen other dyno readings that are close to that. Its only a starting point. If your doing other mods you can still work from there. If it was a mustang dyno which generally will be a little lower on the hp/torque runs, if it was a dyno jet its probably a little low. I wouldn't worry about it. Take it to the track and make some runs to see where your at and then start modding.

Doesn't seem low to me. Assuming 15 to 20% loss through the drivetrain, it's pretty much dead on. Very nice!

Dyno readings vary, so I would not be too concerned, if other cars like yours are in the same area on that dyno. If other A8 Camaros read ~415 on THAT dyno, then I'd wonder what was up. What a dyno is good for, is before and after tuning/testing on that same dyno.

Id expect to see anywhere between 380 and 400. To say 385 seems low is an assumption. Personally I put alot more stock in a timeslip and the information it contains along with Density Altitude data over any dyno sheet. Dyno can spit out 440 to the tire and you trap 110 mph at a near sea level DA what good is that dyno number? If anything the dyno is a baseline figure on paper ive never read too much into them.

With this new post of 334hp, we now have a range of 334hp to 443hp reported for a stock Gen 6 LT-1. Moral of the story, don't get wrapped up with internet hp numbers.

I trapped 115.43 at 1853 DA. That's all the info I needed. Dyno is a nice tool to see gains you've made from a baseline but the track will tell you where you stand.
