Warning: engine tick/rattle

Just heard back from the dealer after taking my camaro m6 2SS in for a tick/rattle noise on acceleration. I thought it was a loose heat shield or something else from front of the car. Ended up being 4 bad lifters and a valve? Lady who called me didn't go to in depth but was all covered under warranty. Car just hit 6k miles

It honestly didn't sound that bad and was hardly noticeable with radio on. This car is my sunny day weekend car and not driven anyway out the norm of a v8 sports car. Just hope someone else reading this with similar issue just plays it safe and takes their car in to get checked out.

Seems to be a common issue with all the Gen V 6.2 liter V8's. Guessing yours is the A8? Been told it is caused by too much back pressure when the engine is running in V4 mode.

Yeah no engine light. I'll try to talk to an actual tech when I pick it up next week and get more info.

Sounds good, my dealership said these cars have so many sensors that if there is a problem it will pick it up lol of course I don't believe him

I was looking stuff over under the hood today, and my power steering has a slight wobble. Enough I can do it by hand. Guess I get to schedule my appointment
