knee pads on doors

This may be a stupid question but here goes. I have a 2LT V6/RS black leather interior. My knee pads on the center console are leather with gray stitching. The knee pads on the door are hard plastic. Should they be leather? My friend got his camaro today 2lt with black leather non rs 7" my link. and his are leather on the doors. not the top part by the window but the knee pads under the window controls. am i missing something? he didn't get the lighting package either.

Hmmm....I also have a 2LT/RS V6, and the lighting pkg, and i have leather wrapped knee and window ledge pcs...BUT, i also test drove another LT, without lighting, and it had leather covers... Looks like your car has a mix up.. Check your window sticker too for details..

Window sticker says nothing that would indicate it should or shouldn't have them. Just odd to me. Also you can only buy them in a set of 4. Which to me would see to indicate either you have all plastic installed or all leather.

I thought 2LT/2SS were supposed to have leather. They might have just flubbed in in the factory. Shouldn't be hard to correct the issue though. Tell the dealer.

Yeah that's the only thing that sucks about the 1SS is the plastic knee pads. The worst part is you cant buy those with the gray stitching either! I don't want the red to match the outside of my car or the suede.

This is the leather padded door pad that I received on my 2LT RS with convenience and lighting package. So that may be the answer there. I have these and a set of the kneepads in Kalahari stitch/black in the for sale section

I sent u a message earlier about those. I only need the door pieces though. My friends 2lt does not have the lighting package and his has leather door knee pads. I guess maybe he got lucky with his and mine is the normal way they come.

Have you guys noticed the option for the knee pads on the Build website. Maybe it's that?

No these are wrong.

I ordered the khalihari bolsters and my car still came with a set of black leather for both the door and the console.

I'd definitely complain to the dealer. This isn't right.... You should not have plastic ones in the door.

I order the white knee bolsters and they sent two driver side pads. GM wants my dealer to send back the entire knee pad package before they resend the one passenger side pad. Sounds like they don't have their crap figured out on these optional packages yet. At least the dealer promised to fill up my tank and wash my car each time I have to go back to get these changed out.

It's called a launch. Anytime a new product is launched it starts off rocky.
