Just Venting

I'm sure I'm not the only one with problems. I am just frustrated now looking to vent. I brought my 2016 camaro in November and my vehicle has been posted in some shop at some point in each month this year. Let's start with January..a clicking noise was coming from the front which turned out to be the rack and pinion which was replaced this was about 7 days. February I heard the same noise as well as my radio begin to start acting funny (Bluetooth disconnect randomly, Apple CarPlay disconnect as well, temperature reading would not show on radio) after a day in the shop they "fixed" the radio, but couldn't diagnose the noise I'm hearing. So lets go to March. Radio still didn't function properly (same problems listed above) turns out the radio wouldn't not take updates. After 2 days this was "fixed". This brings us to our current month where I decided to take the vehicle in for the same clicking noise I heard earlier enough as well as a chirping noise. Now the dealership realizes I'm not crazy and hears the clicking noise but they are having a hard time finding what's causing the problem. Also, the chirping noise has been diagnosed and now I need another serpentine belt. It was placed in the shop and I can tell it will be there for the foreseeable future. The whole process has been frustrating but it is definitely a lesson learned. I will just sit and wait and admire from afar

frustrations

For as many awards this car has won I sure hope these issues get ironed out. I'm still waiting for mine and sure hope it's not going to be a headache. Good luck with your car getting repaired right this time.

Document the issues and check with the lemon laws in your state ....in most they have (3) tries to fix the same issue...this is above and beyond your other issues. I got fed up with constant issues in my ATS and they bought it back

Yes indeed. I have all my case documents, receipts, and my own notes as well. Here in the state of Illinois it is 3 tries for the same issue. I have to wait right now for them to diagnose the clicking noise. They are trying to tell me it is not related to my previous issue which was the rack and pinion.

I guess I got lucky! No problems that I've seen...yet. 250 miles.

That blows, I got 1/2 mile from the dealer when my check engine light came on and the car went into LIMP mode. Turns out the oil pressure sensor was literally cracked. Took them a day to fix it. All is well now. Then I noticed a really nasty crack on the instrument cluster, dealer ordered me a new on and it took 8 hours to install. All is well, but 2 times in the shop before I even have my license plate. I hope I'm done with broken parts. Good luck hope they get you straighten out.

I dont think it is my touchscreen. The commands work fine, but I can have my phone connected via bluetooth or using the Apple CarPlay and it would just disconnect randomly. Sometimes it will reconnect, or I would have to shut the car off and start it back up after 60 seconds. Dealer fixed it in March but the same issues exist.

Might have me thinking about grabbin one with nav. Sucks to hear lots of people having problems with them, I hope they get it all fixed sooner rather than later.
